What a beautiful photo of Julian and Shannon (those two names sound lovely together!). You did “good” mom, you really did!

Happy Birthday Julian – you are one lucky guy to have such a great mom! Enjoy and cherish one another…

Hi poseidonsmuse – just tried getting into your blog with no luck -to say I too have a greyhound – I just left a message re him for Observant Bystander but now I can’t see it.

What a great kid. Happy Birthday Julian. He’s so handsome. I never realized how much he looks like you. You’ve done a wonderful job mom!

Happy birthday Julian! And you are a spittin’ image of Mom. Here’s a thought – take Mom out to dinner tonight! She did all the heavy lifting ya know.
He also resembles Daniel, our second born.

Yes Observant! From what I have seen of you (on your blog), your son really does look like you!

Oh no Dawn! Um, I’m not sure what prevented you from logging onto my blog – I do moderate comments – so your words don’t appear right away (maybe you could try posting again sometime?). Cheers!

ps. Greyhounds are amazing, aren’t they!?

Thank you everyone! Julian was quite blown away by his mother’s friends’ greetings from cyberspace. I rock (sitting a little taller in the chair at this time).

And it was a good day for all. Thanks for all of your birthday hellos and well-wishes. He is cute, isn’t he?

Mike – Yes, I think he looks a lot like Daniel too with those dark sultry eyes and black hair. (And by the by, I’m outing you right here and now: His name is not Mike and he’s never been to prison, but if you watch The Office you might catch Michael Scott doing a mean PrisonMike in one memorable episode). Oh, and I expect some more bowing the next time we all have dinner and/or drinks.

That’s what you say, sisterfriend. I’m actually doing a five year bit in Leavenworth for breach of promise. I won’t go into the details here, suffice to say that interspecies relationships just aren’t worth the trouble, not matter how noble your initial intentions.

What’s Fri evening look like for the two of you? One of our fav acts is playing at the Blue Room – The Jazz Disciples and Lisa Henry. We’d love to have some adult/adult interaction. Not the kind in post card, though. Just to be clear.

Mikie: Adult on adult sounds good, but am checking with The Boss just to make sure Friday’s OK. Will email.
